Local business honored by MoDOT
Hutchens Construction Company, headquartered in Cassville, was one of 15 businesses recognized by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) for attention to project quality, timeliness and adherence to contract goals this year.
"Our contractor performance review is a process that rates all of our contractors on the work that was performed each calendar year," said Jeremy Kampeter, of MoDOT. "In this review, each contractor falls within one of four categories based on the amount and type of work they completed."
The categories include heavy volume, medium volume, low volume and specialty.
"There are then awards given for four areas and an overall award winner for each of the four categories," said Kampeter. "Hutchens Construction fell in the specialty category and was recognized for quality, prosecution and progress, contract administration and contract compliance."
Hutchens Construction Company completed MoDOT projects on various highways in McDonald County and Highway 112 in Barry County this year, said Kampeter.
