Betty Timmons, 75, passed away on Dec. 4, 2012, at her home in Exeter. She was born on May 4, 1937, the daughter of Hilsden and Annie (Mattingly) Williams, on the family farm north of Exeter. She was a 1955 graduate of Exeter High School. On Oct. 20, 1956, she was united in marriage to Roy J. Timmons. She was a life-long resident of Barry County and was well known for the pies she baked at Rainbow Dinner House and 4-Way Mini-Mart. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Exeter.

Survivors include: her husband of 56 years, R.J. Timmons; two daughters, Janette Steward, and her husband, Jim, of Exeter, and Janice Barton, of the home; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Johnny Williams, of Purdy; and one sister, Billie Jean Higgs, of Exeter. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Timmons; three brothers; and two sisters.

Graveside services were held Friday at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter with Pastor Art Rogers officiating.
