Animal hospitals hold toy drives

Wednesday, December 5, 2012

Herrin Animal Hospital and Monett Veterinary Hospital are currently conducting their 13th annual Holiday Toy Drive. Staff members will accept toys at both hospitals through Dec. 13.

"It is always a special time for us when we load up the truck with toys every year," said Dr. Brent Herrin, owner of the hospitals. "My staff and I really enjoy participating in this and our friends and clients always amaze us with their generosity. We look forward to this every year."

New toys collected through the toy drive will be distributed to children in need by the Barry County OACAC Neighborhood Center's Share Your Christmas effort.

All community members are invited to help make the holidays bright for Barry County children by bringing a new toy to one of the animal hospitals, which are located at 93 Smithson Dr. in Cassville and 215 Dairy St. in Monett.

Cassville community members are also invited to bring their toys to Herrin Animal Hospital's annual open house, which will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Chili will be served during the event.

For more information, call the Cassville hospital at 847-5888 or the Monett hospital at 417-235-5616.
