The pattern continued against Springfield Catholic on Friday night. The Irish climbed to a 48-40 lead after three periods, but this time Southwest's late-game heroics were enough to claim a 61-58 victory.

Against Conway on Saturday, Southwest dropped a 67-65 heartbreaker. The Trojans trailed by only a point at halftime, 32-31, but the Bears pushed to a 48-44 lead at the final break before holding on for the 2-point victory.
