Lois Mae Ruark, 68, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, in her home.

She was born June 13, 1944, in Butterfield, the daughter of Marshall and Gladys (Killman) Mahurin. In June 1962, in Monterey, Calif., she was united in marriage to Vernon Ruark, who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1988. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Judy Stockton and Naomi Sooter.

Survivors include: one son, John Paul Ruark, of Cassville; one daughter, Melanie Grossman and her husband, Randy, of Cassville; two brothers, Eugene Mahurin and his wife, JoAnn, of Verona, and Cecil Mahurin, of Verona; and four grandchildren.

She grew up in southwest Missouri and graduated from Verona High School in 1962. She moved to Monterey, Calif., before returning to Missouri 33 years ago. For several years, she worked in quality control for Pettit Jean Foods at Wheaton. She was a member of Faith Non-Denominational Church at Monett.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
