Molly Beth Doherty, 54, of Wheaton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, in the apartment fire at Wheaton.

She was born Aug. 9, 1958, in Grand Rapids, Mich., the daughter of Donald and Helen (Kettlehake) Harshbager, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a granddaughter, Mary Beth.

Survivors include: one son, James Doherty and his wife, Salley, of Ozark; two daughters, Hollie Carson of Joplin, and Ellen Doherty, of Wheaton; one brother, Donald Koenes and his wife, Deborah, of Tennessee; four sisters, Becky Andersen, of Michigan, Donna Pickett, of Missouri, Amy Harshbager, of Maryland, and Sally Ross and her husband, Larry, of Maryland; and four grandchildren.

She grew up in Michigan and graduated high school at Kentwood, Mich. In 1983, she moved from Grand Rapids, Mich. to Wheaton to make her home. She was employed as a photo lab specialist at Walmart in Monett. She was a member of Wheaton United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Wheaton United Methodist Church, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor John Henry will conduct the services. A private family burial will be at Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton. Contributions may be made to the family in care of McQueen Funeral Home.
