Exeter CC approves synthetic drug ordinance

The Exeter City Council approved an ordinance prohibiting the sale of synthetic drugs within the city limits during its regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 11.

The aldermen also set regular hours for Willie Stephens, police officer, during the meeting. Stephens will be on duty from 7 to 9 a.m. and from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. each day.

In other business, the Exeter City Council:

* Accepted the bank reconciliations, voted to pay the September bills and reviewed the bank balances.

* Accepted the six-month financial statement for April through September.

* Approved adjustments for the 2011-12 fiscal year budget and adopted the 2012-13 fiscal year budget.
