The Cassville Lady Wildcats seventh and eighth grade basketball teams continue their outstanding play this season. Each team gathered a pair of victories.
The seventh grade Lady Wildcats improved to 6-0 on the season with a pair of victories over Monett and Mt. Vernon.
Cassville opened the week on Nov. 8 with a solid 24-5 victory over Monett.
Audra Brooks led the Lady Wildcats in scoring with 11 points. Madilynn Stokes chipped in 5 points. Hallie Long recorded 4 points, and Ashlynn Howe finished with 2 points.
On Nov. 15, Cassville completed the two-game sweep with a 42-8 win over Mt. Vernon.
Howe and Stokes paced the black and gold with 7 points apiece. Josie Lone added 6 points. Brooks tallied 5 points. Long scored 4 points, and Abbi Atkinson had 2 points.
Eighth grade
The eighth grade Lady Wildcats improved to 4-2 on the season with victories over Monett and Mt. Vernon.
Cassville earned a 38-25 victory over Monett on Nov. 8 to begin the week.
Alicia Huse had a monster game, scoring 20 points. Devyn Callahan added 8 points. Candace Wallace contributed 6 points, and Ashlea Large, Chelsey Small and Ashley Ray recorded 2 points each.
Cassville finished the week with a 35-21 win over Mt. Vernon.
Scoring for Cassville were: Huse, 10 points; Ray and Callahan, 8 points apiece; Macy Parsons, 4 points; Large and Kandace Wallace, 2 points each; and Chelsey Small, 1 point.
