Carol Ruth Williams, 71, of Holiday Island, Ark.passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Regency Hospital in Springdale, Ark. She was born to Roy and Gertrude Smith in Keokuk, Iowa, on Feb. 16, 1941. She was united in marriage to Ron Williams on Oct. 3, 1964. He preceded her in death April 14, 2009. Ron and Carol moved to Maui, Hawaii, in 1976. During that time, they owned and operated VIP car rentals, and The Waterfront Restaurant. In 1990, they moved to Holiday Island, Ark., and opened their business Eagle Rock Outboard located in Eagle Rock until 2005. She was currently employed at Peachtree Assisted Living in Holiday Island, Ark.
Survivors include: two sons, Steve Williams and his wife Melissa, of Golden, and Mike Williams and his wife, Kristen, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and six grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. at Peachtree Village in Holiday Island, Ark.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home, Cassville.
