Exeter students tour SRTC

Wednesday, November 14, 2012
Exeter School District eighth grade students visited the Scott Regional Technology Center (SRTC) in Monett on Nov. 1. The purpose of the trip was career exploration and to inform students about the opportunities at the center. While at the center, students participated in activities learning about personalities and how important it is to consider their personality when choosing a career. They also utilized technology to identify tools used in industry and the SRTC programs. As well as admission requirements for SRTC, eighth graders were made aware of the many careers in which the center prepares students. Exeter High School enrolls several junior and senior students in the center's 15 programs each year. SRTC students earn work place credentials and college credit.
