Albert R. (Rusty) Bowman 53, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012. Rusty was born Aug. 19, 1959, to Joann E. Bowman and the late Harold L. (Bub) Bowman in Aurora. Rusty was united in marriage to Viola (Vi) P. Taylor on June 3, 1978, in Warsaw, Mo.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Vi; three daughters, Beth Ann Fischer and husband, Trevor, Heather Bowman and Kevin Wilkey, and Pam Williams and James Scarborough; seven grandchildren, Cole, Chelby, Bella, Mady, Loren, Erin and Wyatt; his mother, Joann Bowman; two sisters, Debbie Bowman and Kevin Blair, Terri Thomas and husband, Grady; his mother-in-law, Wilma Taylor and friend, Bill; and many aunts, uncles, sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind many friends who he always treated as family. Rusty will always be remembered as a loving son, dedicated husband and father and good friend. Rusty loved watching old cowboy movies and his favorite cowboy was John Wayne. If you knew Rusty you knew they were not just movies but a way to live life. Rusty lived the cowboy way. He took pride in working with his hands and doing things right the first time. He was a man of honor, if he gave you his word you could take it to the bank. He was the first one there when hard work was to be done or someone needed a helping hand. He loved to fish and hunt. His life was his family, his daughters were his crowns and his grandchildren his jewels. He will be missed by many. Rusty was a Supervisor for Kansas City
