The seventh grade Lady Wildcats (3-0) opened play in the tourney with a 36-13 victory over Sarcoxie on Oct. 27.
Ashlynn Howe and Audra Brooks paced Cassville with 10 points apiece. Madilynn Stokes chipped in 7 points. Josie Lone added 2 points, and Megan Richter and Hallie Long contributed 1 point each.
Scoring for the Lady Wildcats were: Howe, 8; Long, 8; Brooks, 5; Abbi Atkinson, 5; and Stokes, 3 points.
In the championship game on Nov. 1 the Lady Wildcats earned a 24-10 decision over East Newton.
Long and Stokes poured in 10 points apiece, and Howe and Lone recorded 2 points each to lead Cassville.
Eighth grade
In the eighth grade division of the Triway Tournament, the Lady Wildcats (2-1) opened play with a 34-13 victory over Sarcoxie.
Ashlea Large contributed 10 points. Alicia Huse and Tori Cole added 7 points each. Kandace Wallace recorded 6 points, and Ashley Ray and Devyn Callahan finished with 2 points apiece.
Cassville earned a 31-24 win over Seneca in the second round of the tournament.
Scoring for the Lady Wildcats were: Macy Parsons, 10 points; Huse, 8; Large, 6; Callahan, 5; Cole, 4; and Wallace, 1.
In the championship game of the Triway Tournament, Cassville battled hard but fell 40-21 to East Newton.
Huse chipped in 14 points. Parsons added 3 points, and Callahan recorded 2 points.
