Four injured in area wrecks
A Lockwood woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that took place at 5:25 p.m. on Monday, on Highway 37, approximately one mile south of Monett.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a 1998 Dodge Durango, driven by Dora B. Arroyo-Vella, 30, of Monett, was stopped in traffic to make a left turn and was struck from behind by a 2005 Nissan Ultima, driven by Marcus A. Anderson, 40, of Lockwood.
A passenger in the Anderson vehicle, Lynn A. Hampton, 40, of Lockwood, sustained minor injuries in the wreck and was taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital. All of the parties involved were wearing seat belts.
* Three people were injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, on Highway 39 about five miles north of Shell Knob. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2001 GMC Yukon, Christy L. Mitchell, 35, of Neosho, ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Mitchell and two passengers in the vehicle, Kirstyn N. Ramsey, 15, and Joselyn L. Richardson, 33, both of Neosho, sustained minor injuries. Mitchell was transported by ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield. She was wearing a seat belt. Ramsey and Richardson were both transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora. Neither passenger was wearing a seat belt.
* A Monett man sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:13 a.m. on Nov. 3 on Farm Road 1150 approximately three miles west of Monett. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1998 Mercury, Jared T. Spears, 26, of Monett, ran off the roadway and overturned. Spears was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
