SUPPORT GROUP: Anyone who is concerned about a friend's or loved one's drinking is invited to attend the Cassville Al-Anon Family Group, which meets at 8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Cassville.

MEETING: At 7 p.m., Barry County Democrats will meet at the Cassville Branch Library for their annual Thanksgiving meal, which will be catered by the BBQ Station. Meals will cost $7.50 each. For more information or to reserve a seat, leave a message at 847-3753. The reservation deadline is Nov. 6.

RIBBON CUTTING: The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at the chamber office for Preston's Landscaping. All chamber members are invited to attend.

PROGRAM: The Eagle Rock Branch Library will offer a special home school program at 10:30 a.m. Jennifer Waters will present a program on wildlife. Snacks will be offered after the program. For more information, call 271-3186.

SPECIAL EVENT: The Southwest R-5 School District will offer a Veterans Day breakfast in the high school commons area at 8:30 a.m. A special assembly will be held in the high school gymnasium at 9:30 a.m.


Saturday, Nov. 10

SPECIAL EVENT: The Willing Workers Club will hold the 62nd annual Fairview Quilt and Craft Show at Hammons Community Center in the Fairview City Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will offer lunch, a bake sale, craft sales, a drawing and children's activities. BREAKFAST: A Veterans Day breakfast will be offered at the American Legion in Cassville beginning at 6 a.m. All area veterans are invited to attend.

CRUISE-IN: The Cassville Cruisers will hold their last cruise-in of 2012 at the Barry County Museum, on Highway 112 south of Cassville, from 3 p.m. to dusk. The event will include a special recognition program for all veterans.
