Festival of Flavor tickets still available

The Monett Chamber of Commerce will host its ninth annual Festival of Flavors event on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and tickets are now on sale. The popular event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, located at 1600 N. Central in Monett.

Festival of Flavors will feature an array of food tasting opportunities with delicious samples provided by area restaurants, caterers and bakers. Selections will include appetizers, entrees, soups, salads, breads, desserts and beverages.

Participants include: Mazzio's Italian Eatery; Maggie Mae's; Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant; Mocha Jo's; Simply Sweet Shoppe; Red Barn Café and Hen House Bakery; Caffee Ternurita; Walmart; Little Caesar's; Cox Monett Hospital; Herbalife; Visalus; Scott Regional Technology Center's Culinary Arts program; New Beginnings Ice Cream & Deli; Denali Dreams; The Family Room Steakhouse; The Bayou; and B&C Catering.

"The Festival of Flavors offers the opportunity for restaurants in Monett and surrounding areas to showcase their menus, and it provides local community members with a chance to sample a large variety of delicious food," said Jeff Meredith, executive director of the Monett Chamber.

Attendance at the always sold-out festival is limited to 400, so those planning to attend are urged to secure their tickets now.

Festival of Flavors tickets are $10 each for adults and $5 for children ages 7 to 12. Tickets can be purchased at the Monett Chamber of Commerce office at 200 E. Broadway or at area banks.
