Due to its popularity, Cassville High School's third annual "A Night To Remember" dinner concert will offer two showings this year. The performances, which feature the CHS choirs, will be held in the high school commons area on Thursday, Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov. 9.
"Where can you go and get a good meal and a great evening of entertainment while supporting the talented youth of our community?" asked Gail Shumaker, who helps organize the event.
"Most of the choir competitions are far away so this is a great way to see their show without traveling a great distance," continued Shumaker. "These are very talented kids who love the opportunity to perform and deserve to know the community supports them. This show gives the kids an opportunity to feel they are earning the support and respect this great Wildcat Nation gives them."
"A Night To Remember" will begin at 5:30 p.m. With pre-show entertainment by the CHS show choir band. The talented band members will perform while attendees are arriving and locating their tables.
During the concert, the NBA (No Boys Allowed) all girls show choir will perform their show "Heat," and the CHS Center Stage Show Choir will perform their competition show piece "Pressure."
The evening will also offer performances by an assortment of soloists and small groups.
"A Night To Remember" will be catered by Schoon Catering.
Proceeds from the event benefit the choir department are are used to pay entry fees for competitions, choreography fees and costs for costumes and musical arrangements.
Tickets for "A Night To Remember" are $12 each. Children under 12 will be admitted for $7. Tickets are available at Tomblin's Jewelry and the Cassville High School office.
