The Ozark 7 Conference released its All-Conference volleyball teams for 2012, and several area players were named to the list.
Southwest's Montana Hendrix was tapped as the Ozark 7's Player of the Year. In addition, Wheaton's Mariah Kochell, Purdy's Chelsea Mareth and Southwest's Shannon Mitchell were were named the first team. Second team honors went to Macey Breeding, of Purdy, Taylor Mettlach, of Southwest, and Shelby Medley, of Wheaton. Alyssa Guin, of Purdy, Chelsie Leroy, of Southwest, and Kenzie England, of Purdy, earned honorable mention recognition.
Coach of the Year honors went to McAuley head coach Brian Steele.
Other players named to the first team were: Amanda Mullen, of Verona; Abby Pekarek and Brooke Russell, of McAuley; and Kaylee Connor, of Thomas Jefferson.
Other second team members were Shelby Barsotti, of Verona, and Miranda Green, of McAuley, and honorable mention honors also went to Taylor Pinkley, of Verona, and Samantha Mountjoy, of Thomas Jefferson.
