Hidden Creek Home Center will be constructed at 302 Clover Dr. in Cassville. LeCompte estimates that the building will be around 12,000 square feet.
"On Oct. 31, 1967, my father purchased this very piece of land with the intent to one day move his business to this location," said LeCompte. "I am proud to be able to fulfill my father's dream of having a hardware store at this location."
LeCompte said the store will face the southeast. Building supplies will be provided through Orgill Hardware Distributors. The new business will employ between six and 10 individuals.
LeCompte has been in the hardware business since he was a young man, working along side his father. He is the son of Barbara and the late Bill LeCompte, of Cassville.
Michael LeCompte is married to Jill (Holman) LeCompte, of Cassville. The couple have three children, Victoria Zane LeCompte, a student a Missouri State University, Zane LeCompte, a student at the University of Arkansas, and Jillian Micol LeCompte, a second grade student at Cassville Primary School.
More information on the new business will be released at a groundbreaking ceremony that will be held in the coming months.
