Pearlene Hilburn, 87, passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at her home in Cassville.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1924, in Ozark, Ark., daughter of Harvey and Annie (Lasiter) Boggess. She has lived in Barry County since she was 10 years old. She was a homemaker. She was united in marriage to Lavern Hilburn on July 31, 1942. Lavern preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 2010.
Survivors include: five daughters, Sharon Sue Chambers, of Crane, Doris "Jo" Baxley, of Exeter, Joyce Carson, of Bentonville, Ark., Velena Callis and her husband, Tom, of Bentonville, Ark., and Cathy Hilburn, of Decatur, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Boggess, of Seligman; and five sisters, Geneva Schweizer, of Walsh, Colo., Maxine Reeves, of Washburn, Betty Hilburn, of Cassville, Helen Turpin, of Nixa, and Charlotte O'Neil, of Springdale, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the White Funeral Home with Ralph Hilburn and Rev. Jack Freeman officiating, and burial to follow at Russell Cemetery, north of Cassville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
