The Lady Trojans swept through pool play, winning games with Crane (25-22, 25-16), Forsyth (26-24, 25-23) and Chadwick (25-5, 25-9) and then defeating Blue Eye (25-17, 25-17) in the semifinals.
However, Forsyth would comeback to clip Southwest 25-14, 25-20 in the championship game.
"We were consistent, efficient and played with passion throughout the whole day," said Southwest coach Steve Voyak. "The Forsyth game was the most impressive in our pool play. We had to rally at the end and had a call go against us and still emerged with a win. The girls really played together."
