Fourth annual Jack and Jill X2 tourney a success
The Cassville Golf Course hosted its fourth annual Jack and Jill X2 Tournament on Sept. 29 with 112 golfers hoping to come in with the low score. Each team consisted of two men and two women.
Boasting rights for closest to the pin went to Lori Reaves on hole #6, Pam Gipple on hole #11, Vaughn Smith on hole #8 and Mike Riehn on hole #17.
D flight first place winners were James Popanz, Courtney Kelley, Brian Stehlik and C. Graffetti. Second place winners were Ronnie, Terry and Donna Moore and Shirley Williams. Third place honors went to Bill and Annie Fields and George and Linda Cantrell.
C flight first place winners were Jerry and Debbie Yarnall, Denver Douglas and Penny Hall. Second place team was Becky Ryder, Wayne Gillenwater, Hal Every and Jeanette Skorupski. Third place went to Rich and Mary Lee Meyerkord and John and Anne Ogle.
B flight first place winners were Jacque and Sandy Fleischmann and Paul and Sue Ramonette. Second place honors went to Dan and Lynn Blanke and Terry and Connie Figgins. Third place winners were Galen and Patty Shoemaker and Richard and Gay Bently.
A flight first place honors went to Terry and Teri Cox and Kenny and Christy Metcalf. Second place winners were Danny, LaDon and Taylor Vanzandt and Leta Higgs. Third place went to Mike Brattin, Marlene Wolf and Dave and Doris Conners.
Championship flight winners were Scott Tucker, Kristin Popanz and Ashley and Amy Garner, shooting 60. Second place winners were Jim and Martha Hillman and Tom and Maria O'Sullivan, followed by third place winners Vaughn Smith, Angie Edie, Mike Riehn and Susie Jacobs, both shooting a 61.
The Sandwich Factory catered a taco bar following the tournament.
