SUPPORT GROUP: Anyone who is concerned about a friend's or loved one's drinking is invited to attend the Cassville Al-Anon Family Group, which meets at 8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Cassville.

WORKSHOP: The Ozark Country Quilters will hold a workshop in room eight of the Show Me Plaza Shopping Center, the former location of Fields' Photo Archives, at 9:30 a.m.

MEETING: Pythagoras Masonic Lodge #383 in Cassville will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Lodge building.

CLASS: The Cassville Senior Center will offer a paint class at 9 a.m.

BLOOD DRIVE: Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive at the VFW Hall on Highway 39 North in Shell Knob from 3 to 6 p.m.

CONFERENCES: Cassville Middle School will hold parent teacher conferences from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Parents are encouraged to visit with teachers during the event.

FUN AND GAMES: The Cassville Senior Center will offer fun and games at 12:30 p.m.

SUPPORT GROUP: A grief and Alzheimer's support group will meet at the Cassville Senior Center at 12:30 p.m.


Saturday, Oct. 20

RALLY: The Barry and Lawrence County Republican Central Committees are hosting a rally with addresses by state and local county candidates at the Monett High School commons area. The event will begin with a free luncheon at noon, followed by speeches at around 12:45 p.m.

BLOOD DRIVE: A bloodmobile will be located at the Crowder College Cassville Campus from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

COMMODITIES: USDA commodities will be distributed to qualified Barry County recipients at the United Methodist Church, located at Seventh and Gravel Streets in Cassville, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 847-2328.
