Norma Jean "Jeannie" Youngman, 80, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, in her home.

She was born on March 14, 1932, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Lewis Raymond and Carrie Lavon (Nichols) Perkins. In 1951, she was united in marriage to Johnny Gemmecke, who preceded her in death January 1973. She later married Murrel Youngman, who preceded her in death August 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: four half brothers and sisters, Larry Perkins, of Edgerton, Wis., Danny Perkins, of Chicago, Ill., Doris Stewart, of Chicago, Ill., and Margaret Christian, of West Virginia; and one step- brother, Jerry Thomas, of Arlington, Texas.

She completed her education in Dallas, Texas, where her father owned and operated a motel, service station and grocery store. She had resided in Barry County since 1951. She owned and operated Gateway Gift Shop and a farm raising beef cattle for many years. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Cassville.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Seligman Cemetery, Seligman, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Danny Heupel conducted the services.
