Hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts gathered at Roaring River State Park for the 2012 WOW (Wonders of Wildlife) Weekend on Oct. 5, 6 and 7. The National Outdoor Recreation and Conservation School is held every fall at Roaring River and offers a large variety of courses ranging from beginning fly fishing to photography. WOW classes are designed to teach participants how to enjoy outdoor activities while practicing personal safety and outdoor responsibility. In all, there were over 50 classes offered at the park this past weekend. Some of the popular classes included blacksmithing and the high ropes challenge.
