A motorcyclist was hurt in a single vehicle crash at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 three miles west of Washburn.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gary Love, 61, of Austin, Texas, received serious injuries when he drove his 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle off the right side of Highway 90. The motorcycle overturned.
Love was taken by helicopter to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. He was wearing a helmet.
Other crashes
* A man from Peculiar was injured in a motorcycle crash at 4:25 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28 five miles south of Cassville. Jeffrey Long, 45, received moderate injuries when he drove his 2006 Honda off the right side of Highway 86, overturned and struck a sign. Long was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cassville for treatment. He was wearing a helmet.
* A Monett man was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30 on High- way 71 about two miles north of Neosho. The crash oc- curred when the driver of a 2007 Kenworth, Dennis E McMullen, 55, of Monett, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. McMullen was taken by ambu- lance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin with minor in- juries.
* Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that took place at 2:35 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28 on Highway 37 about one and a half miles east of Pierce City. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2005 Honda Accord, Lynn M. McClure, 59, of Monett, crossed the center-line and struck a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by Tracy D. O'Hara, 37, of Pierce City, head on. McClure was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital in Joplin with serious injuries. O'Hara and a passenger in the vehicle, Colten J. O'Hara, 11, of Pierce City, were taken to Mercy Hospital in Joplin with moderate and minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
