"The first Little Miss Eagle Rock was Brett Lynne Cochran, daughter of Jennifer Cochran, Eagle Rock Library supervisor," said Laura Lee Gregory, Eagle Rock Friends of the Library secretary. "Brett, at age 1, was crowned in the spring of 1999. Now a freshman at Cassville High School, she is more than ready to relinquish her crown.

"Last year, Brett was on the principal's list with straight As," said Gregory. "She made the NBA (No Boys Allowed) dance choir this year. On Oct. 27, she will perform in the All District Honor Choir Concert at Joplin. The new Little Miss Eagle Rock will have a lot to live up to."
