The child's name, age, sponsor or parent's name and relation, address and phone number should be printed on the back of the photo.

Photos can be submitted at the Eagle Rock Branch Library or mailed to: Eagle Rock Library, PO Box 147, Eagle Rock MO 65641.

The Little Miss Eagle Rock contest is open to children 8 and under. Entries must be received by Oct. 25.

Each community member who attend Howl-O-Ween and Eagle Rock Daze will have the opportunity to cast one vote in the Little Miss Eagle Rock contest. The child who receives the most confirmed votes will receive a trophy and savings bond.

"The first Little Miss Eagle Rock was Brett Lynne Cochran, daughter of Jennifer Cochran, Eagle Rock Library supervisor," said Laura Lee Gregory, Eagle Rock Friends of the Library secretary. "Brett, at age 1, was crowned in the spring of 1999. Now a freshman at Cassville High School, she is more than ready to relinquish her crown.

"Last year, Brett was on the principal's list with straight As," said Gregory. "She made the NBA (No Boys Allowed) dance choir this year. On Oct. 27, she will perform in the All District Honor Choir Concert at Joplin. The new Little Miss Eagle Rock will have a lot to live up to."
