Adult exercise classes are once again underway at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Cassville. Classes are designed for older adults and focus on stretching, balance, strengthening and toning major muscle groups for increased mobility. Participants may use two- to three-pound hand weights and most exercises are done sitting or holding on to a chair. "Middle aged adults are welcome to join these classes," said Sarah Marney, secretary. "We also work with the disabled and offer light rehabilitation exercises." This is the fourth year the classes have been offered to members of the community. Classes are held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from September through May. Classes are free and there is no need to pre-register. For more information, call Marney at the Family Life Center at 846-0003.
