Freshmen overpowered by CJ

The Cassville Wildcats freshmen football team (1-3) fell 48-0 to Carl Junction on Sept. 24.

The Carl Junction fresh- men looked impressive early and scored on their opening possession to take an early 8-0 lead.

The Wildcat offense, on the whole, struggled as they managed only one first down in the entire first half.

The Bulldogs looked impressive on both sides of the ball as they forced three first half turnovers and scored five touchdowns to take a 36-0 lead at halftime.

The freshmen of Cassville were not able to turn the game around in the second half.

"We struggled all night on both sides on the ball," said Cassville coach Danny Powers. "We have a lot of things to correct, and I'm ex- cited to see how our kids re- spond next week."
