Orval Wilbanks, 77, of Washburn, passed away Sat- urday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, Rogers, Ark.
He was born March 8, 1935, in Versailles, the son of Willard and Mary (Campbell) Wilbanks. On Feb. 26, 1955, in Cassville, he was united in marriage to Gladys Rose, who survives.
Additional survivors in- clude: two sons, Richard Wilbanks and his wife, Mary, of Washburn, and Robert Wilbanks, of Washburn; four daughters, Patricia Ebbs and her husband, Ronnie, of Rogers, Ark., Shirley Lawrence and her husband, Tom, of Seligman, Janet Lawrence and her husband, Alan, of Seligman, and Traci Sanders and her husband, Jack, of Seligman; one brother, Paul Wilbanks, of Idaho; three sisters, Helen Pryor, of Versailles, Alice Crim, of Washburn, and Anna Coleman, of Cassville; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers.
He moved with his fam- ily from Versailles to north- west Arkansas when he was very young. At the age of 9, they moved to Washburn where he received his educa- tion, graduating from South- west High School. He was a land surveyor, licensed in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. He was self-em- ployed and had also worked for Crafton and Tull Associ- ates.
