Eldon Troy Boxley, 77, of Springfield, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in his home.

He was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Alpena, Ark., the son of James Alfred and Clara Frances (Sperry) Boxley, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were three sisters, Velma Cook, Arlene Larson and Pauline Chambers and three brothers, Howard Boxley, Glenn Boxley and Gene Boxley.

Survivors include: his companion, Thalia Deckard, of Springfield; two sons, Donald Stickley, of Panhandle, Texas, and Jeff Stickley, of Denver, Colo.; four daughters, Connie Jo, of Panhandle, Texas, Pattie Sue, of Colorado, Kimberly, of Wyoming, and Bobbie Jo Boxley, of Kansas; one brother, Floyd Boxley, of Clovis, N.M.; one sister-in-law, Lora Boxley, of Washburn; and one grandchild.

He was an over-the-road truck driver. Later in life, he was employed by the Baca County Sheriff's Department in Colorado and also was employed as a police officer for Springfield, Colo.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Hickman Cemetery, Washburn, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Milford Baker will conduct the services.
