The Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, along with Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association #43, will host its ninth annual Ride for Freedom to benefit Missouri veterans on Saturday, Sept. 22.
This motorcycle poker run will travel approximately 115 miles through the Ozarks. The top three hands will win, along with the low hand. Prizes will be awarded.
The poker run is open to all motorcyclists 18 years of age or older. Cars and drivers are also welcome.
Departure time is slated for 9:30 a.m. from the Missouri Veterans Home, located at 1600 S. Hickory St. in Mt. Vernon, and return about 1 p.m.
Pre-registration is $25. Cost of participation on the day of the ride is $30. Entry fees cover one hand of poker, one meal and a T-shirt.
A tent will be provided for shade and entertainment.
