Maynard Roy (McCloud) Taylor, 59, of Shell Knob, passed away on Sept. 6, 2012, in Utah. He was born on June 11, 1953, son of Maynard Paul Taylor and JoAnn (Bishop) McCloud, in Kansas City. He grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1973. On Dec. 8, 1989, he was united in marriage to Sharon Brigman in Miami, Okla., and she survives.
They moved to Shell Knob, from Verona in 1992. He worked in the past as a car salesman and later, along with his wife, entered the trucking business.
Additional survivors include: his parents, Donal and JoAnn McCloud, of Gower; two sons, Cecil McCloud, of Pittsburg, Mo., and Bill Brigman, of Wheaton; one daughter, Jennifer Hardesty, of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Donal McCloud Jr., of Oak Grove, and Bill McCloud, of Holt; two sisters, Diane Lindsey, of Claycomo, and Terry Sharp, of Independence; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Maynard Paul Taylor; one son, Jayme McCloud; and two sisters, Vicky Flores and Paula Taylor.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m. at the White Funeral Home with Jason Mackey officiating.
