CMS runners earn top honors at Seneca meet

The Cassville Middle School girls cross country team, pictured above, finished first at the Seneca meet. The team includes Olivia Padilla, Alicia Huse, Camille Holman, Mattie Stephenson, Madisyn Popanz, Jordan Campbell, Hailey Mathews and Kaylee Morgan. Huse earned fifth place, and Morgan came in seventh at the meet. Mathews finished eighth, and Holman placed 13th at Seneca. Other students who earned awards at the event were: middle school boys team member Austin Wilson, fourth place; varsity boys team member Taylor Dotson, 11th place; and varsity girls team member Deborah Kern, seventh place. Several junior varsity boys team members also medalled at the event. They include: Alex Dryer, sixth place; Kyle Stephenson, seventh place; Tyler Speakman, ninth place; Chad Howerton, 10th place; and Matt Vermillion, 12th place.
