Cassville teen injured in crash

A Cassville teen was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:35 p.m. on Sunday on Highway 76 about four miles north of Shell Knob.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the driver of a 1995 Honda Accord, Ashley J. Cousins, 16, of Cassville, failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.

Cousins was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cassville with minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.
