The Exeter R-6 Board of Education set the district's levy for the 2012-13 academic year.
Board members voted during their August meeting to set the incidental tax rate at 3.4360 and the debt service at .6500 for a total of 4.0860, which will generate approximately $436,401 for the incidental fund and $80,440 for debt service.
Those figures were based on $13,030,288 in combined assessed valuations for patrons of the district, which are up from $12,700,143 in 2011.
In other business, Dr. Ernie Raney, superintendent, presented Jason Cole and Howard Burns with an award from the Missouri State Highway Patrol for total fleet excellence in the annual bus inspection.
Board members reviewed enrollment and attendance figures for the first few days of classes in pre-kindergarten through 12th grades.
In other business, board members:
* Hired the following substitute teachers: Russell Pendergraft, Felicia Hayworth, Karla Kuklaw and Stephanie Crumpler.
* Accepted a milk bid from Hiland Dairy.
* Accepted a bread bid from L&S Foods in Exeter.
* Approved a new policy that Exeter Booster members will receive $1 off the regular admission price for attending home games.
