The Lady Cubs roared back to tie the game in the home half of the third.

Cassville tried to answer, getting two runners on with one out in the fourth inning. Callie Meek walked and Skyler Branham singled, but the Lady Wildcats struggled to get the key hit to bring them home.

Monett added a pair of runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good with production from the bottom of its order.

Andrea Soriano and Brooke Madison each singled to open the frame. Soriano scored on Haylee Morris' sacrifice and Madison scored on Harper's fielder's choice.
