The Lady Wildcats drew first blood in the first inning.
Raeghan Blisard reached on an error and scored on Madison Jamieson's one-out sacrifice.
Cassville doubled the lead in the third inning when Kelsey Baker singled with one out to right field. Jamieson then blasted a triple into the left-center gap, lifting the Lady Wildcats to a 2-0 lead.
Jamieson finished the contest two for two at the plate with two RBI.
The Lady Cubs roared back to tie the game in the home half of the third.
Jessica Harper got the hit parade started with a one-out single. Allie Krueger and Raigan Ratliff followed with singles to load the bases. With two outs Kelsey Wisemen singled and drove in the equalizing pair of runs.
Cassville tried to answer, getting two runners on with one out in the fourth inning. Callie Meek walked and Skyler Branham singled, but the Lady Wildcats struggled to get the key hit to bring them home.
Monett added a pair of runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good with production from the bottom of its order.
Andrea Soriano and Brooke Madison each singled to open the frame. Soriano scored on Haylee Morris' sacrifice and Madison scored on Harper's fielder's choice.
Ratliff shut down the Lady Wildcats the rest of the way, retiring eight of the last nine batters she faced. Ratliff pitched seven innings, allowed one earned run and struck out seven.
Cassville hosts East Newton on Thursday.
The Lady Cubs welcome Southwest to North Park on Thursday. Game time for each contest is set for 4:30 p.m.
