Cassville School Board sets tax rate

Monday, September 3, 2012

On Aug. 16, the Cassville R-4 School Board set the district's incidental operating tax rate at $2.95 and debt service tax rate at 37 cents.

"Last year, the board was able to reduce the operating (levy) by five cents to $2.90," said Superintendent Richard Asbill. "It was previously $2.95 the year before. We adjusted up or back to $2.95 this year due to the assessed valuation impacts and loss of revenues."
