SUPPORT GROUP: Anyone who is concerned about a friend's or loved one's drinking is invited to attend the Cassville Al-Anon Family Group, which meets at 8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Cassville.

RIBBON CUTTING: The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at Kristine's Consignments, located at 101 East Seventh St. in Cassville, at 11:30 a.m. All chamber members are invited to attend.

MEETING: The Southwest Missouri Tea Party will meet at the American Legion Building on Highway 112 in Cassville at noon. Frank Herbert and Rep. David Sater will serve as the guest speakers.


Friday, Aug. 31

FUN AND GAMES: The Cassville Senior Center will offer fun and games at 12:30 p.m.

RIBBON CUTTING: The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at Subway on Main Street in Cassville at 11 a.m. All chamber members are invited to attend.

MOVIE: The Cassville Branch Library will show "The Pirates Band of Misfits" at 4 p.m. The movie is rated PG. All area families are invited to attend and bring their own snacks.


Saturday, Sept. 1

FUNDRAISER: Exeter Fire Protection District volunteers will hold a boot block and Exeter FFA students will offer a car wash at the Exeter Fire Station from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

DANCE: The Cassville Senior Center will hold a dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $4. Proceeds will benefit the senior center. For more information, call 847-4510 or 847-0131.
