Martin Neal Sherman, 66, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on Oct. 23, 1945, the son of William S. and Doris (Delaune) Sherman, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Harold Chappell.

Survivors include: his former wife and companion, Connie Brinson; a son, Eric Sherman, of the state of Connecticut; a daughter, Megan Sherman, of the state of Connecticut; three brothers, William S. Sherman, Jr., and Harvey LeBlanc, both of Port Arthur, Texas, and Mark LeBlanc, of Tampa, Fla.; and three sisters, Sue Edwards, of Bryan, Texas, Jerry Hardy, of Warren, Ohio, and Elaine Landrum, of Mauriceville, Texas.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966 and spent his life at various times as an office administrator, a chef and a medical professional.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. No services are planned at this time.
