The 54th annual Wheaton Volunteer Fire Department Barbecue will be held at the Wheaton City Park on Saturday.
Antique and customized vehicles will be on display at the Show and Shine Car Show at 9 a.m., and the 18th annual Spud McCracken Memorial Horseshoe Tournament will start at 11 a.m.
Wheaton volunteer firefighters will begin serving barbecue chicken dinners and barbecued pulled pork sandwiches at 11:30 a.m. Proceeds from the meals will benefit the fire department.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy dessert at the Fireman's Ice Cream Booth and the Wheaton United Methodist Women's pie booth.
Children's carnival rides will be offered beginning at 1 p.m., and an arts and crafts show will be held under a tent in the center of the park throughout the day.
A flagpole and brick dedication ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Wheaton Depot Museum at 3 p.m.
Musical entertainment will also begin at 3 p.m. Groups scheduled to perform include: Third Generation; The Robbins Band; The Wilderness Band; Barry County Connection and Glory Bound.
The traditional duck race will be held at 8 p.m. The following cash prizes will be up for grabs: $500, first place; $250, second place; $125, third place; $75, fourth place; and $50, fifth place.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in Edwina Tichenor's Karaoke following the duck race.
