Abel Ibarra, 45, of Purdy, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, in Lawrence County.
He was born July 30, 1967, in Durango, Mexico, the son of J. Socorro and Juana (Rodriquez) Ibarra. On Dec. 1, 1990, he was united in marriage to Ancelma Serrano, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two daughters, Belem Ibarra and Abigail Ibarra, both of Purdy; his parents, of Durango, Mexico; two brothers, Daniel Ibarra, of Dodge City, Kan., and Audelio Ibarra, of Purdy; two sisters, Velia De La Torre, of Haltom City, Texas, and Rosa Ibarra, of Fort Worth, Texas; and one grandchild.
He grew up in Mexico and had been a resident of the United States 19 years. For several years, he had been employed with Tyson's. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Cassville.
Services were held Thursday in St. Edwards Catholic Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. John Braun conducted the services. Burial was at Purdy Cemetery, Purdy.
