Maynard Francis Good, 76, of Shell Knob, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, in Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville.
He was born May 31, 1936, in Miami County, Kan., the son of Francis Dale and Ida Mae (Smith) Good. On March 17, 1956, in Louisburg, Kan., he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Sloan, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Steven Good and his wife, Vonda, of Shell Knob, and Timothy Wayne Good and his wife, Christi of Shell Knob; one daughter, Cynthia Ann Lightbody and her husband, Steve, of Niangua; nine grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Raymond Dale Good.
He grew up and received his education at Drexel, graduating from Drexel High School. He was owner and operator of Good's Truck Line at Drexel. He resided in Texas for awhile and in 1989, moved from Bay City, Texas, to Shell Knob to make his home.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #675, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine and Joplin Shrine Club.
Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Bob Gaddis conducted the services. Burial was at Painter Cemetery, Shell Knob.
