Juanita V. Reed, 66, of Seligman, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, in her home.
She was born Feb. 19, 1946, in Lanagan, the daughter of Cleo A. and Martha (Six) Barger. On Oct. 31, 1963, in Rogers, Ark., she was united in marriage to Vester "Doyle" Reed, who preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Lynn Barger and Buck Barger; and a stepson, Jerry Reed.
Survivors include: five sons, Don Allen Reed and his wife, Deborah, of Avoca, Ark., Lonnie Horton, of Seligman, Alen Reed, of Seligman, Doyle Reed and his wife, Alicia, of Berryville, Ark., and George Reed and his wife, Crystal, of Seligman; three daughters, Ladena Curtis and her husband, Daryl, of West Fork, Ark., Nina Jean Settlemayer and her husband, Mike, of Morrilton, Ark., and Sherry Reed, of Rogers, Ark.; and five adopted children, Brent Reed, Joseph Reed, Summer Reed, April Reed and Christy Reed; four brothers, Dale Barger and his wife, Anne, of Russellville, Ark., Glen Barger, of Frankfort, Ill., Gerald Barger and his wife, Glenda, of Monett, and Edward Barger and his wife, Diane, of Rogers, Ark.; 50 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She grew up and received her education in Rogers, Ark. Most of her life was spent as a poultry farmer, working for Georges. she moved from Elm Springs, Ark., to Seligman 24 years ago. She was a member of His Way Fellowship in Gateway, Ark.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Beaver Cemetery, Seligman, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor John Ledenham conducted the services.
