The 28th annual Hillbilly Industrial Golf Tournament was held last Thursday and Friday at the Cassville Golf Course with 84 golfers participating in the four-man scramble. The two-day event is sponsored by the Cassville Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce.

"The Hillbilly Industrial Golf tournament was started 28 years ago as an appreciation to our area industrial leaders," said Randy Stockton, Hillbilly Tournament Committee chairman. "The event has grown over the years, and today includes the showcasing of Cassville to customers and business partners of local industry as well as networking amongst attendees."

During Thursday night's banquet, Able 2 Products and LeCompte's Building Center received special recognition. Able 2 Products has been in business in Cassville 40 years, and LeCompte's Building Center has been operating for 75 years.
