"The Hillbilly Industrial Golf tournament was started 28 years ago as an appreciation to our area industrial leaders," said Randy Stockton, Hillbilly Tournament Committee chairman. "The event has grown over the years, and today includes the showcasing of Cassville to customers and business partners of local industry as well as networking amongst attendees."
During Thursday night's banquet, Able 2 Products and LeCompte's Building Center received special recognition. Able 2 Products has been in business in Cassville 40 years, and LeCompte's Building Center has been operating for 75 years. The 125th anniversary of Commerce Bank and Willis Insurance was also recognized.
"All four local businesses were very excited to be recognized," said Mindi Artherton, chamber executive director. "It is a great honor to have such long standing businesses here in our community. I know they each appreciated being recognized at such an important event, and we appreciate all they do for the people of Cassville and the surrounding area."
