Russel Scott May, 54, of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in his home.
He was born March 25, 1958, in Monett, the son of Jerry and Mary (Tennison) May. On Dec. 24, 1977, in Cassville, he was united in marriage to Cathy Blythe, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, John May and his wife, Bethany of Arlington, Tenn., and Bob May, of Cassville; one daughter, Mary May, of Cassville; one brother, Michael May, of Brighton; and three grandsons.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
As a child, he lived in various towns with his family, moving from Garland, Texas, back to southwest Missouri in 1972. He was a graduate of Wheaton High School. For 34 years, he was employed with Fasco. He was an elder of Mill Street Church of Christ in Cassville.
Funeral services were held Monday in Mill Street Church of Christ, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. The elders of the church conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
