Wilma L. Cantwell, 88, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012, in Cassville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Monett, the daughter of Benjamin and Jewett (Keeling) DeCocq. On July 4, 1940, in Newton County, she was united in marriage to Clida Cantwell, who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Bette Mitchell; and one sister, Mary Alire.

Survivors include: one son, Bob Cantwell and his wife, Lana, of Cassville; three daughters, Bonnie Miller and her husband LeRoy, of Independence, Beverly Ledenham and her husband, Darrell, of Cassville, and Brenda Epperly and her husband, Dennis, of Cassville; a son-in-law, Dale Mitchell, of Independence; five brothers, Joe, Bennie, Jerry and Larry DeCocq, all from the Sacramento, Calif., area and Gary DeCocq, of Clifton, Colo.; three sisters, Anna Mouier, Donna Vankirk and Beverly Sanderson, all from the Sacramento, Calif., area; 11 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two step great-great- grandchildren.

She received her education at various Barry County schools. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She and Clida farmed for 57 years. She held many jobs that included: working at the Chicken Plant, Casket Factory, and Garment Factory and house cleaning. She retired from the Neighbor-hood Center.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Corinth Baptist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Billy McCall and Brother Bob Neeley conducted the services. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
