Nina Marie Giddings, 60, of Washburn, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012, in her home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1951, in Tulsa, Okla., the daughter of Eugene Kelley and Ella (Beede) Lakey. In 1967, in Wichita, Kan., she was united in marriage to Jim Giddings and to this union three children were born.
Survivors include: one son, Joe Giddings and Lisa Jo, of Washburn; two daughters, Kasey Tate and her husband, Jerry, of Wheaton, and Kara Gonzalez and her husband, Fernando, of Wheaton; one brother Eugene "Sonny" Lakey, of Cassville; three sisters, Gloria Hayworth and her husband, Jim, of Washburn, Druzella Rivera, of Shell Knob, and Eupha Galyen, of Dodge City, Kan.; and nine grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Fred and Herschel.
She was a resident of Washburn most of her life and attended Washburn First Baptist Church. She had owned and operated two restaurants, one at Table Rock and one at Seligman.
Funeral services were held Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Glenn Erwin conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery.
