Wednesday, July 11, 2012

The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its second and final Friday Squared event of 2012 on the downtown square in Cassville this Friday. The pre-show block party will begin at 7 p.m., and "Goonies" will be shown on the outdoor big screen at dark.

"Join the chamber for a scavenger hunt around the square, and you could win great door prizes," said Mindi Artherton, chamber executive director. "Attendees will visit participating businesses and answer questions to complete a scavenger hunt."

Scavenger hunt participants who answer nine of the 13 questions will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for prizes donated by Gussied Up Boutique, Towneley Furnishings and Forever Yours Embroidery. Scavenger hunt forms will be available at the chamber booth.

Community members who attend Friday Squared will have the opportunity to shop and enjoy other activities from 7 p.m. to dusk. Barry County Connection will provide live musical entertainment during the block party.
