Absentee voting continues for Aug. 7 primary election

Absentee voting for the Aug. 7 primary election will continue through Monday, Aug. 6. Voting hours will be offered at the Barry County Clerk's office in Cassville from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Area residents who are unable to vote absentee in person can request an absentee ballot by mail. Written requests should be mailed to Gary Youngblood at 700 Main St., Suite 2, Cassville, MO 65625 or faxed to 847-5311.

Requests must include the following information: the voter's name, physical address, mailing address, phone number and date of birth; the last four digits of the voter's Social Security number; the reason for voting absentee; and the voter's signature. In a primary election, voters must choose a party to vote for, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Constitution.
