Maevene (Watts) Webb, 81, of Washburn, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012, in Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Ark.
She was born June 28, 1930, in Marshall, Ark., the daughter of James Abraham and Rosa (Huckabee) Watts. On Aug. 3, 1950, she was united in marriage to Lowell Treadwell and to this union four children were born. On Jan. 11, 1980, she married Joe Webb, who preceded her in death on May 22, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Faye Horn, Cheerful Knouf and Calleen Treadwell and one brother, Tobe Watts.
Survivors include: three sons, Tommy Treadwell and his wife, Karen, of Neosho, David Treadwell and his wife, Brenda, of Seligman, and Donnie Treadwell and his wife, Gayla, of Washburn; one daughter, Drucie Rose and her husband, Glenn, of Washburn; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She grew up and received her education in Marshall, Ark., where she graduated from high school. In 1959, she moved from Marshall to Washburn, to make her home. For over 20 years she was employed as a cashier for Walmart in Cassville. She was a faithful member of Washburn Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Ken West conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery.
